Hello Mythos Dragons,
And here we are, at the end of April! For me, every day felt like a long one, but every week raced by. I feel like I just posted the March update, but somehow still feel every hour of those past 4 weeks.
Well, here we are again! Let's get into it!
Two Final Rewards To Go!
With the books and screens all finally shipped out this month, and our online tools out at the end of last month, we're down to two final Stretch Goal rewards.
Just about everyone has received their hardcover rewards by now, if they were on your pledge list. I'm gonna give one more reminder about tracking these shipments, in case the few final backers with rewards still in transit have any issues.
TRACKING YOUR ORDERS ONCE THEY'VE SHIPPED
As noted in this update, all orders have shipped, and about 99% of them have successfully delivered. That said, tracking your packages - especially for international orders - can provide great assistance in solving minor issues before they become major issues.
International Shipping costs continue to climb - that's an understatement - and every sign points to additional costs coming throughout 2023, so it's pretty important that we avoid any re-ships or additional shipping charges as much as possible. And that's where your help can really come in handy.
I've dealt with several situations where shipments were marked as "delivered" but the backer hadn't checked the tracking information for months, unaware that the package had been sitting at a neighbor's house or stuck in a local postal facility.
So, please, check your tracking number bythe end of April. If you haven't received your package by, let's say May 15, review the tracking number to see where the issue might be.
For example, if Package status indicates it was delivered but you never received it
Double-check your Backerkit CONFIRMATION PAGE (as detailed above) that the correct address was provided, and maybe check with your neighbors to make sure it wasn’t accidentally left there. If that doesn’t turn up anything, contact the carrier or your local post office to report the package as not received and please contact me using the Contact Creator button on kickstarter to let me know you didn’t get your order.
I've seen so many orders sitting in a local post office for 8 weeks while the recipient was left unaware that it was waiting. Additionally, other backers have solved issues almost immediately with a quick call to FedEx and providing their tracking number.
It's a HUGE help to me and Onyx Path if we can solve any wayward shipment or stuck orders in May, rather than waiting until the summer when shipping systems finally give up delivery attempts and return the items to our fulfillment partner (at an extra cost to Onyx Path). Let's avoid paying for multiple return shipments if we can! Thanks for your help in advance.
Also, if you have any issues with your shipment or books, do not panic! As we've all done for the past few years, we will get through this. It may take a bit to sort, but I'll do my best to make sure everyone gets their rewards.

March '23 Update: Shipping Update, Reward Distribution Online Tools

Hello Mythos Dragons,
It seems like it's just been a few days since we were in February. Time is flying by on one hand, but on the other hand things seem to take longer than ever.
The plan was for all of the physical pieces of the Dragon and Mythos projects to deliver to Onyx Path's fulfillment warehouse by the end of January and shipments would be completed by the end of March. That, however, was not the case, with the screens in particular taking a bit longer to finish the manufacturing stage and make their way over to Onyx Path's fulfillment partners at Studio 2. Alongside that delay, things have just taken longer than initially forecast, and we've still got orders to be shipped over the next few weeks.
In theory, the last bits that Studio 2 have been waiting for should show up in their warehouse very soon, and I expect all orders to be either delivered or at least en route to the final backers within the next two weeks. Apologies for the delays, but I'm hoping everything will be resolved and in your hands before our April monthly update!
REWARD REDEMPTION
Remember these Stretch Goals during the campaign?
We unlocked both during the campaign (and so many more, of course!), and now Onyx Path is ready to send them out!
Pretty much all of my gaming is done online these days, and I welcome any new online tools that I can use to make things a little clearer, give players a sense of the world their characters inhabit, or just make the process more fun! These big token packs contain a bunch of Dragon- and Mythos-related images for your game, to either use as character tokens or visual aids or player avatars or whatever you'd like!
REWARD DISTRIBUTION

Feb '23: Tracking Update, Waiting for Screens, Monthly Check In

Hello Mythos Dragons,
I hope everyone's having a fantastic February! Let's get right into our monthly updates. Most of the hardcover orders have shipped out, but we're still waiting for one final batch of products before we can complete all orders.
THE SCREENS ARE STILL BEING PRINTED. Onyx Path is still dealing with the changes in manufacturing over the past few years. Manufacturing is taking longer, and is a lot more prone to schedule changes, than it's ever been. The good news is that the Scion: Dragon and Scion: Masks of the Mythos screens are currently being printed, and we're all hopeful that manufacturing should be concluded soon and then everything shipped to the warehouse of our fulfillment partner, Studio 2.
So, if you added on either of the Screens during the campaign or in the BackerKit Pledge Manager after the campaign, we're going to have a wait a little bit longer. As soon as they deliver, the Studio 2 crew will get them processed, picked, packed, and shipped.
For those who pledged for either or both of the hardcover books and aren't waiting on either of the reference screens, your books have shipped!
TRACKINGINFORMATION
If you were set to receive a hardcover copy of either Scion: Dragon or Scion: Masks of the Mythos-BUT NOT EITHER OF THE SCREENS- as a kickstarter reward, your book has shipped and may have delivered by now. If you haven't received it yet, please check your tracking and confirm that it's still en route. Sometimes I'll hear from backers that had no idea the book was being held at a local post office or had delivered to their next door neighbor. The courier and delivery companies keep tracking information for about 5-6 months, so if you've got any issues, please let me know as soon as possible so we can sort them out. See Contacting James below. By, let's say, September we may not have access to full tracking information. At that point, I'm going to assume that everything went fine, so if you have an issue please contact me as soon as possible.

Hello Mythos Dragons,
Well, I've waited until the last minutes of January to see if there was any final updates before my month end post, but nothing yet. Here's where we are:
DRAGON & MASKS HARDCOVER BOOKS
The hardcover book rewards for Scion: Dragon and Scion: Masks of the Mythos were printed and currently sitting in the warehouse for Onyx Path's fulfillment partner (Studio 2). Latest word is that the Storyguide Screens for both books are currently being printed, and will be manufactured and packaged and are set to ship out in in the next few weeks to deliver to the warehouse shortly thereafter. (I had always thought that being printed and being manufactured were the same thing, but not in this case it seems).
On our Kickstarter campaign, our delivery projection for the hardcover rewards was May 2023. We're going to hopefully get it into your hands a few months earlier than forecast. I was actually hoping things would be in transit to you already at this point, but the printing industry has been really shaken up over the past few years, and the screen printing process isn't quite as quick or simple as it used to be. Rather than wait a few more weeks for the screens to arrive, I've given Studio 2 the green light to start pulling orders for the pledges that don't need screens, so those should start to go in the next few weeks.
SHIPPING INFO
All orders for the hardcover book that were confirmed by, paid for, and had delivery destinations confirmed by January 27, 2023 have been passed on to Studio 2, Onyx Path's fulfillment partner, and will be picked, packed, and shipped out over February (and maybe March, depending on when the screens arrive).
As part of the prep-pick-pack process, you will be assigned a tracking number, so - in theory - you'll be able to follow your order along as it works it's way to the shipping address you confirmed in BackerKit.
TRACKING INFORMATION
The first step in the order prep process is to print out an address label and a pick slip - these two items are linked together so the warehouse knows what to ship and where it's being shipped to. This means that a tracking number will be assigned to your order BEFORE it gets shipped from the warehouse, possibly even a week or two before your items are boxed up and scheduled to be picked up by a courier partner.
So, in the first two weeks of February, you may see a note that the shipping label is "created, but not yet in system" - which just means that the warehouse is currently in the process of putting the orders together. You'll be able to see when your order is indeed shipped, and track it's progress as it travels to you.
Normally, US backers would start seeing deliveries a week or two after the orders have left the warehouse, but the strain on delivery infrastructure during the past few years has a cascading effect that's just slowing all processes down. That's also affecting tracking updates - but, I'm told, information should catch up as packages move through the system.
Once the bulk of the orders have left the warehouse, you will (*should*) get an e-mail with Tracking Information.
Your tracking information may take a few days to update at any given time, so you may see "Pre-Shipment" as it filters out to the various shipping agencies, but it should update as it travels and eventually delivers to you.
Again: You'll have your tracking numbers sent via the e-mail provided to Backerkit, and shortly thereafter, you will also be able to access your Tracking number in Backerkit by reviewing your Order Confirmation.

Your BackerKit Confirmation page will have:
The TRACKING NUMBER for your shipment (once it's been uploaded)

Onyx Path managed to get a print window for these books right at the end of 2022, but that landed them right in the middle of a busy shipping season, so there's a bit of recovery and adjustment that's been needed to get everything in place. Dec '22 Update: Monthly Summary, Shipments expected to go out starting in January

Hello Mythos Dragons,
And just like that, we've come to the end of 2022! This past year was pretty solid for our project, with the PDF versions of both Scion: Dragon and Scion: Masks of the Mythos delivering in August and September. I'm looking forward to great things in 2023, with our hardcover books scheduled to ship out early in the new year.
Right now, the hardcover books are in Studio 2's warehouse - they're the distribution partner for Onyx Path rewards. They're still waiting on one final component - the Storyguide screens, which are currently printing and should be delivering to them soon. Once they've got it all received, they'll be able to start the pick, pack, and ship process. I'll be in touch when we hit that stage with information on how to find your tracking information.
While we wait for the screens to finish up, that means I've got one tiny window for any last minute address changes for emergencies. If your shipping location will be changing during the January timeframe, please contact me at Onyx.Kickstarter [at] gmail.com. I will unlock your order and we'll hold off processing it until you're at your new location. If you have your new address and the effective date, let me know that too and I'll set it up. If you haven't confirmed your location yet, let me know that as well and I'll hold off the shipment until you're all sorted.

I think I got slightly ahead of myself last month - the Dragon jumpstart isn't quite yet in layout, but should begin once the screens are finished and focus can shift to working on that project. The companion is coming right along behind, and once the team gets a moment, they'll sort out the VTT elements fairly quickly. All-in-all, I expect things to move fairly rapidly once we get into 2023.
